Tambura Spectacular (part II)

A great video from the St.Sava Church YouTube page for those of you who couldn't make it to this wonderful exhibit.



Milan Opacich's lifetime collection of vintage tamburitza string instruments was displayed for the first time in it's entirety by the Serbian Historical Society at St. Sava's Serb Fest 2011. Hundreds viewed the exhibit of photos, artifacts, and rare instruments complete with their descriptions. Featured were The Popovich Brothers, Crljenica Brothers, Steve Barich, and opera singer Danica Chirich (Diana Henery). A "Work in Progress" showed some of the steps and tools involved in building instruments.

    Thank you for this beautiful video and the link. So good to see the kids having fun there, maybe some of them will play some instrument later. "Tamburitza boogie" sounds great. Thanks a million!
