vinka is my great grandma(Stella)'s sister. I have been trying to find out some stuff about my family since i found a poetry book my great-grandma owned. I had always known my ancestry went back to serbia and yugoslavia but i never imagined we had a singer in our family! guess that's where i got my voice!

Ms. Yovich,
ReplyDeleteIndeed Stella Ellesin was Stella Subich, and the best that ever was! She and Grandpa moved from Canton to Memphis in 1986. Grandpa passed away in the spring of 1988, and Grandma in July of 1999. She would be THRILLED that you remember her. Sadly, her son, Steve, passed away in 2005, and her daughter Stephanie passed away in 2009.
Grandma told us so many great stories.
