Mitar Bulatovich

These three records were recorded in Chicago in the 1940's and feature the talented vocalist Mitar Bulatovich. Accompanying him on the first is Marty Kapugi and his Sar Planina Orchestra. The last two were recorded with the Serbian Radio Orchestra under the direction of the famous violinist Danilo Kozarski.

  3. Hi Ana,

I'm sorry but I haven't been able to find much info on Mitar Bulatovich. I'll ask around though. And if you learn anything in the meantime please let me know because I'm also interested.

  4. MItar passed away quite a long time ago, I believe in the 1980's. His son, Bozidar (Bobby) and daughter (Gina, married Savic) are still in Indiana and Illinois respectively.

  5. He passed away in 1981.This is his granddaughter Ariana Bulatovich. The stories I hear about him are truly incrediable. He is much of the reason why being Serbian is so important to me. Deda Mitar will always be my heart and I hope he is as proud of me as I am of him.

If anyone has stories about him I would love if you could email them to me.
